FLUFFY TOWN

There was once Alpha House, its sketch-Club, and all around a big city full of sky scraped by concrete and glass, and in between, other 'itch-hickers' taking over galleries and the street! I'm going down, down, down, down... to Fluffy Town!

What a Drag! / la Barbe! then Map the Soul of the Planet!!

Come and
enjoy my show at the Mori Gallery, 168 Day Street, Sydney 2000, Town Hall Station, opening Wednesday 10th of June 2009 and running till Saturday 4th of July. If you are wondering about gender, feminist issues, virile values threatened by parity and how men get alarmed, panicked even! about it, come and enjoy the videos, photos, texts and performance! Then maybe you too shall put on a beard! (There will be some that fits your best sulks and smiles) Anthropology and Politics and Visual thoughts on new media, technoogies but still obsolete mentalities around sexism and its avatars, this is what this show is about, an open forum to debate about those highly post-modern, reccurent and crucial issues.

.... then, on Friday 12th of June 2009, come to Alpha House Artits Co-operative Gallery, 226 Union Street, Erskineville, for a second show of mine, Map the Soul of the Planet! This time, it is an ecological and epistemological concern that animates the images I questioned:
Given the canonical representations of space, countries and land, what part does our imagination play in attributing a certain part of truth to them. How do we, as human beings, relate to them and have a certain knowledge, or belief about them? Come and think, or dream, in front of these borders turned into characters caught in an imaginary situation. Come and share a moment with the artist, as this is my ultimate show before leaving the country (maybe forever!!)
